About the Course
Medication access shouldn't be a mystery. Whether you're a healthcare provider, patient advocate, or administrator, navigating America's prescription system can feel like solving a puzzle with missing pieces. Insurance denials, prior authorizations, coverage gaps—these barriers don't just frustrate patients, they impact health outcomes. This course is designed for nurses and MAs who want to master the medication access landscape. You'll learn how to decode insurance requirements, identify patient assistance programs, understand policy frameworks, and advocate effectively for your patients. With 12 learning units built on evidence-based research and real-world clinical practice, you'll gain the knowledge and tools to remove barriers and get patients the medications they need. No fluff, no outdated information—just practical, actionable strategies grounded in current healthcare policy and supported by full citations so you can reference them in your work.
Jacqueline Marinac, BS, PharmD
This course was created by a clinical pharmacist. I have spent 30+ years as a clinician, educator and researcher. I have watched patients, families and caregivers suffer when they can't afford or are denied access to prescribed medications. HCPs spend hours on medication access issues. As a result, the become frustrated, burnt out and leave medicine due to heavy administrative burden. This has to stop today. Every module, every citation, every clinical framework was born from that perspective. This is the course I wish I had taught. PATIENTS FIRST. ALWAYS.
What People Are Saying
